Our dining room chairs have been on the bottom of our home's update list for a while. I like our chairs a lot, but what I do not like is that they are all exactly alike and really, really plain. I am not really sure what our plan of action will be. The chairs are in perfect condition so buying all new ones is not an option, but I am hoping we can make a few minor tweaks or possibly switch out a couple to make the dining room more interesting. I have considered adding some sort of detailing to the back like the ring in this picture; it would be a simple update.

I absolutely love this dining space. This is not in our future, but I love the variety of seating and the contrast of colors.

This room also has three different types of seating, but they all have the same color in common, which keeps it more cohesive and less bold.

This may be a good option for us also - to add a different chair at the head of the table on both ends. I love the wingback chair at the head.

Here is another space with all the chairs matching except for the chairs at the head of the table. I love the addition of the pattered wingback chairs, and this could definitely be a possibility in our space.
