Hello Memorial Day weekend! Everyone loves a holiday, and I am no different; but to me Memorial Day is more than just a holiday...it means that summer is literally just around the corner. I don't know if it was all the excitement that was always built up around the end of May as a school aged girl, but I still love summer; and I especially love dressing for summer. Sandals, shorts, bright colors, and bright jewels!
Anyone that knows me and that has followed my blog in the past knows that I am a huge Anthropologie fan. It is my go to store on many occasions. I can always find great things there, this season is no exception. I. want. the. whole. store....oops. Their shorts really caught my attention while I was in the store. There is one style in particular that really stood out, and it is appropriate for many different age groups, and it comes in many, many different colors.
For this post, I decided to pick out some of my favorite colors of the Pilcro Stet Denim Roll Up Shorts and share with you some of the accessories, shoes and jewels, that I would pair with them.

Best in Shoe: Spring 2013 Trends
My favorite topic, shoes! I could shop and browse shoes all day, every day. I am always eager to see the new trends in shoes each season, and this season the trends are very wearable. I have compiled several options in some of springs biggest shoe trends, which include floral prints, black and white, and flat-forms to name a few.
When I say these trends are very wearable, I mean most women could easily incorporate one or all of the trends. They are not trends that only the fashion world or really trendy people will wear. Black and white is such an easy combination to put together, yet it packs a big punch - these two colors have the highest contrast of any other colors. Everyone has black and white pieces in their closet. The black and white shoes would also look great with a bright colored dress or outfit.
J Crew Collection Janey Flat; Kate Spade Trendy Bow Sandal; Alice and Olivia Sorell Wedge; L.A.M.B. Iva Colorblock Wedge; Jason Wu Peggy Sandal; Marc by Marc Jacobs Platform High Heel
Florals have been in the spotlight for a couple seasons now, which I think is always great to see something stick around. This would be a great accessory to add to a solid outfit to bring a little interest without going too bold. I also think floral pumps look great with cropped boyfriend jeans; I love the really feminine detail of the floral print and pump mixed with the not so feminine silhouette of the boyfriend jean.
Brian Atwood Avignon Flat; Guess Neondan Pump; Dolce Vita Baxter Sandal; Anthropologie Hayden Pump; Loft Petra Pump; Jimmy Choo Lola Sandal; Kate Spade Dabney Wedge
Personally, I am pretty excited about the flatforms. I do not like to wear flats because I am so short, but we all know there is a time and a place for 4 inch heels, and an outdoor concert or shopping trip with a lot of walking are not the time nor place... Flatforms give height, without compromising comfort. They are also very easy to walk in, and have a more "put together," dressed up factor than regular flip flops.
Asos River Island Studded Sandal; Jeffrey Campbell Mirror Plaque Sandal; Cole Haan Arden Wedge; Prada Single Band Sandal; Asos Valley Flatforms; 7 for all Mankind Adela Wedge; Christian Louboutin Cataclou Sandal; Pour la Victoire Noelle Sandal

Holiday Party Attire
I love this time of year for many, many reasons; the obvious being spending time with family and friends. A very close tie second is putting together glamorous, sparkly holiday outfits :) What would the holidays be without some glitter, sequins, or stilettos?
Here is a fun, glamorous outfit that I've put together for any holiday party or gathering...or, if you're feeling fancy, a regular night out.
Dress: Anthropologie Mariposa Lace Dress
Tights: Hue Opaque Navy Tights
Earrings: Azure Rose Drops
Shoes: Sole Society Elisa Pump
Ring: Dara Ettinger Disco Ball Ring (Similar styles on Etsy)
Belt: Anthropologie Frayed Grosgrain Belt

Austin Home Tour - Downstairs
Here are some of the final pictures that were taken to list our Austin home on the market. If you would like to take a look at the other areas of the home, you can check here, here, and here.
We'll start with the family room, which was the last project we were working on when we found out we would be moving.
My favorite room in the house, the kitchen... We finished this room last fall, and I absolutely love it and will hopefully recreate it one day!
And finally, a peak at the half bath

Austin Home Tour - Upstairs
Moving upstairs, here are a few pictures of the master bedroom and one of the guest rooms and bathroom. The upstairs was going to be one of our next projects, mainly the bathrooms, but as I mentioned a few days ago, everything was put on hold once we realized we would be moving. So here it is in all it's 1990's glory...

Austin Home Tour - 2
Yesterday we left off with pictures from the front of the house and entry, and today's pictures are of the dining room and sitting area. We decided to keep our chandelier, so we had to replace it with a new light just in case a prospective buyer would get attached to our chandelier.
In case you are curious or do not remember, this is our chandelier that we decided to keep:

Austin Home Tour
As I mentioned yesterday, we are packing up and heading to Denver very soon, which means we needed to sell our Austin home. I will share some of the professional pictures that were taken for the listing over the next few days. I thought I would start with the front of the house and entry.
Please ignore thedirt bald patch in the yard (sorry Jett!). I may have slipped on my watering duties a time or two hundred. Those Bravo Real Housewives can be so distracting.
Here are a few outside shots of the front of the house and the entry.
If you would like a little history, you can read about painting the door and stair rail black and the entry decor here and here.
