This gorgeous, jewel toned fabric has been in the back of my mind, and I decided that pillows would be the perfect way to bring this bold fabric into our home:
Since we are in the process of redecorating our family room, I thought these could be great inspiration to design the room around. I created a mood board with these pillows to get an idea how they would work in the space:
I really do like how this looks, but it is pretty feminine. Even though Jett is really laid back when it comes to decorating the house and tells me, "Pillows are your thing." I think it would be best to have a family room that is more of a mixture of the two of us.
Determined to get my hand on some of these pillows, a light bulb went off, and I thought about trying them in the front sitting area. I have wanted to change out the pillows on the wing back chairs for a while, but it has not been a top priority around here. I ordered a sample of the fabric and placed it on one of the existing pillows:
I liked how this looked so I created an inspiration board for the space to try and get a better idea of how the pillows would look:
I think I'm sold. I love how purple, pink, and yellow look together. The walls in this room are painted a really dark purple (Chambord by Benjamin Moore), and we have a raspberry rug in the adjoining dining room. These pillows have both of these colors and a pop of yellow, which is perfect!
