Hot Denim

So there has been a denim craze for spring/summer 2010, and at first I was a little unsure about this trend. In my opinion, when wearing denim clothing other than jeans, there is a fine line between looking trendy and like Joe Dirt's sister.




But... I have to say that there have been a few items that I really really like, and am thinking about purchasing. I love these Ash studded wedges:



I also really like this DKNY shirt, and it's only $49. I think this would look really cute with white jeans that are more fitted like skinny jeans or even cropped jeans that are skinnier as well.



For those that are into the denim on denim, I think a good starting point is to pick jeans that are a shade or two darker than the denim shirt you are pairing them with, and choose a shirt that has more of a medium wash. Stay away from getting crazy washes and going over board with accessories. The best accessories would be understated leather of tan/brown/camel tones.

Are those Bugle Boy Jeans you're wearing?

This morning a girlfriend and I were discussing jeans; as we usually do, and she mentioned needing a good casual pair, which brings me to the reason for this entry: Hudson Jeans! These are great, great casual jeans, and I thought I should praise this brand for just a moment. By the way, she went out at lunch after I mentioned them and bought a pair! I have seen them on so many different body types, and they look great and fit well on the different shapes. I always get compliments when I wear a pair; not to mention, they are super comfy too!

I especially like the signature boot cut.
